She gets up at 6:00am. Total bedhead. Quick shower. Then a 15 minute blow dry.
She hasn’t had her coffee yet.
She checks her email. Her boss’s boss wants her to create a report in 20 minutes, and then be in the office in 1 hour. Oy. It’s only 7am!
She looks at the clock. She has to get her kids out of bed. Wait. She forgot to pack them lunch. Oh jeez. She rushes downstairs, still with a wet head. Time is running out. She’s gotta get to the office. So… Out with the blow dry, and in with a pony tail.
She starts to pack the lunches. Protein – checked, Veggies – checked, Carbs – checked, Fruit – checked. The lunches are done. She looks at the clock… 15 minutes went by. She gets the kids dressed, puts the lunches in their backpacks and up the school bus they go.
She never got around to getting her coffee. And she forgot to brush her teeth. Oh well.
She may be a working mother. She could be single, or the husband could have left early. Or she is an aunt caring for her nieces and nephews.
She is as strong as ever. Taking the lead. Taking care of the kids, building a career for herself. But she often doesn’t have time for herself.
All she wants is a better work-life. She is pressed for time. She wants so much more time for herself.
What she doesn’t know is that while things are hard, they can get better – with a little direction…She deserves a better life.
